Job Description
We are currently sourcing for Transmission Planning/Interconnection Study Engineers in the United States. Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in the industry working within software packages such as PSS/E or Powerworld. Applicants will serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for generator interconnection-related studies and conduct analyses related to load flow, transient stability, and short circuit.
ResponsibilitiesServe as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for generator interconnection-related studies.Conduct analyses related to load flow, transient stability, and short circuit.Utilize PSS/E or Powerworld software packages for transmission planning and interconnection studies.Produce quality reports and work output with attention to detail.Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in Transmission Planning.2+ years of experience with PSS/E software.2+ years of experience in interconnection studies.At least 1 year of daily use of PSS/E as the main software package.Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on power systems.2-5 years of experience in a power systems role.Demonstrated technical capabilities.Strong organizational and communication skills.Attention to detail and high standards for producing quality work.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with PowerWorld software.Knowledge of Transmission and Distribution Planning.Experience with ERCOT.Work Environment
This is a remote role with flexible hours per week. Benefits include Paid Time Off (PTO) and holidays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00
