Transmission Planning Engineer
Job Description We are seeking a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer to join our team, offering the flexibility to work remotely from a mutually acceptable location with periodic travel to an office/jobsite. The role involves leading network studies for utilities and ISOs, interfacing with engineers to prepare computer-based models, and conducting power system studies on utility transmission & distribution systems and industrial/commercial electrical power systems. Responsibilities include performing feasibility studies, system impact studies, reactive compensation studies, critical clearing time, stability (transient & dynamic), long/short range planning studies, short circuit, load flow, interconnection model development, power factor correction, and other related studies. Additionally, the engineer will participate in proposal writing, engage with customers to develop new opportunities, self-manage time effectively, and communicate complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams.
