Signature Healthcare’s Brockton Hospital is hiring for a Full-Time Transport Aide for Transportation Services in Brockton, MA. Transport Aide Roles and Responsibilities: + Transport patients between nursing units, diagnostic areas, doctors’ suites, and other areas of the hospital. + Practices Hand washing technique for direct patient care. + Transporters should not lift or assist in any lifting of patients. If Patient needs assistance, ask nursing for help. + Consistently uses 2 patient identifiers when picking up patient for transport. + Determines patient name, destination, mode of travel, time and other relevant data, following notification from the Patient Tracking Systems (TDSS) or the Service Response Center. + Reports to work on time, logs into and out of both the Kronos and Patient Tracking systems (TDSS) upon the start and end of each shift. + Reports to work well-groomed and in uniform consistent with the Department dress code. Wears ID badge while on duty. + Identifies equipment malfunctions, removes equipment from service and informs supervisor. + Make sure equipment is clean before using for transport. + Makes sure all necessary transport documents are transported and handed off at their destination (chart). + Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, guests, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. Commits to recognize and respect cultural diversity for all customers (internal and external). Communicates effectively with internal and external customers with respect to differences in cultures, values, beliefs and ages, utilizing interpreters when needed.
