Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Transport Dispatcher - Environmental Services - Full Time, Evenings - Environmental Srvcs - Full-Tim.

In this role, the successful candidate must possess interpersonal skills necessary for the effective interaction between transport staff and requesting departments Operation of the Epic system and acts as a liaison between department and users Expedites priorities as needed to ensure timely transport Submits daily activity report delegates equipment roundup monitors Evaluates departmental operations to facilitate effectiveness/efficiency Possess skills necessary to prepare work schedules maintain a variety of records and reports; review discharge schedules and ensure adequate supplies are available for efficient operations of department Knowledgeable and proficient with hospital policy and procedures

Job Responsibilities:

Oversees central transport functions Is responsible for all safety regulations in assigned areas of oversight interprets departmental and hospital rules and regulations where applicable to those personnel assigned to them Participates in the formal teaching programs and in service education classes as required May recommend at times the procurement and necessity for maintenance of equipment Performs duties of transport staff in response to workload demands in doing so performs procedures outlined in the transporters job description Responsible for the coordination of all transport personnel assigned to transport patients and equipment Creates daily work schedules assigns and distributes work to staff based on their levels of knowledge skills and expertise Rearranges individual workloads and assignments to respond to overall workload and available staffing Operates Epic System and submits activity reports to ESS Management Monitors employee s efficiency and availability ensuring proper codes are used in the systems Monitors dress code for central transporters

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a organizational skills interpersonal skills basic computer knowledge and intermediate word processing and spreadsheet skills

Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $37,584.70 - $54,069.85 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
