About the Position We are looking for a Transport Driver to be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fuel to a variety of locations while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional image as part of the company team. We use Peterbilt’s and Kenworth’s, mainly Cummins 565HP with 18 speeds. This position will be located in Tacoma, WA. but will report to the Transport Driver Manager out of our Greenacres, WA location, focusing on these key responsibilities: + Deliver ground fuel and aviation fuel to a variety of locations + Requires Current CDL Class A + Hazmat, Doubles Triples, Tankers preferred + We can aid in acquiring endorsements + Strong customer service skills + Current Driver Certification Card (Physical) + Must be able to pass: + Drug Screen + Reference Check + Background Check + Motor vehicle records check + Must have basic knowledge of and comply with all D.O.T. industry and company safety regulations + Must be capable of analyzing and understanding general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government rules and regulations + Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume + Must be capable of problem solving in stressful situations and making decisions based on training provided + Other duties as assigned Requirements + Current CDL A with hazardous material, tanker, and airbrake endorsements or the ability to obtain + Be willing to be out five days at a time with days off in the middle of the week (weekends are mandatory) + Minimum of 2 years driving experience in Class 8 vehicle, including winter driving and chaining requirements + Strong preference for those with tanker/liquid operations background + Active loading privileges at various terminals is a plus + Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card + Must pass a drug test, reference check, background check and motor vehicle records check before hire when driving hazardous materials + Must have basic knowledge of and comply with all DOT industry and company safety regulations + Willing to work long hours to meet customer needs, including evenings and weekends + Ability to read and analyze general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government rules and regulations + Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume + Willing to be on-call on a rotating schedule once fully trained + Experience operating a manual transmission is required + Strong Communication and organizational skills + Knowledge and experience in the fuel and oil industry preferred + Customer service experience + Computer experience + Will be using a tablet for dispatches and Electric Logs daily + Will use digital displays at the racks and customer sites Benefit Highlights + 2 Weeks’ Vacation/year + 5 Days of Sick Leave/year + Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance + Employer paid Basic Life, AD&D, and Long-term Disability Insurance + 4% 401K Retirement Account Match + Additional 3% Discretionary Contribution + 6 Holidays/year + Fuel, Propane, Lubricants Discount Additional information CityServiceValcon, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
