The NSW/ACT Transport Planning team consists of around 25 transport planners, engineers and modellers located in our Sydney office.

The successful candidate will have sound team working, time management, analytical, and communication skills, and will have the ability to work under pressure. The candidate must be confident, a good communicator, have good interpersonal skills, and be able to work in an integrated team.


The Opportunity

You will work within transport planning project teams to support project delivery through undertaking data analysis, automation / scripting, operational / strategic modelling, report writing and helping to identify and develop solutions for infrastructure and planning projects.

You may be responsible for small discrete packages of work within transport planning projects

You will be responsible for checking your own work, prior to senior review, consistent with Arup’s Quality Management System.


Is this role right for you?

Minimum of 4 years relevant industry experience in transport planning or modelling (ideally within a consulting business environment)  An awareness and interest in major transport issues, emerging priorities and critical issues, as part of a wider transport planning agenda.  Experience in planning for all modes in transport assessments including walking, cycling, and public transport  Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines – and Arup’s related procedures including OH&S.
