We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Parking & Transport Director oversees Patient Transport, Parking Management, PBX Operators, and Volunteer Services. The Director is responsible for the operations of patient movement throughout the hospital, and directs all matters related to parking operations, maintenance, and enforcement. This position is responsible for leading a team of internal patient transport and supervising transportation of patients within the hospital environment by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed, to ensure an excellent customer experience. This position also directs communications to staff and patients regarding parking initiatives, information systems support, and related activities that align with parking operations. “Additionally, this position directs communications to staff and patient regarding volunteer initiatives, information systems support, and related activities that align with Volunteer operations.” **What qualifications you will need:** + Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred + 2 years of related experience demonstrating administrative skills preferred + Basic Life Support (BLS) required + Current clinical knowledge preferred + Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with external and internal customers required **What you will do in this role:** + Strategically plan and communicate patient movement to ensure appropriate resources are available to proactively manage hold hours and unoccupied bed time. + Work to maximize utilization of all available resources in order to achieve departmental budgetary/productivity standards. + Monitor and track productivity, quality, and customer service indicators. + Oversee and ensure 24/7 hospital coverage of PBX team. + Cross train PBX team to ensure adequate coverage and performance expectation are being met. + Maintain responsibility and accountability for the day to day operations of patient movement through the hospital. + Ensure compliance, accuracy and additional education of the electronic bed board data entry of all personnel. + Maintain appropriate staffing levels as per budgetary guidelines. + Mentor and develop direct and indirect reports, training and coaching as required. + Develop policies and procedures needed to maintain effective operation of the parking and PBX departments. + Provide information and responds to questions and complaints regarding parking. + Interpret and enforce parking regulations and policies for staff, patients, and visitors. + Serve as a liaison between the facility and contracted parking vendors. + Develop all facility-wide communicates regarding parking to staff, patients and visitors. + Research and administer goals, objectives, policies, and regulations under the direction of the Associate Administrator related to the development and management of parking and PBX programs and projects. + Develop and review policies related to the changes and improvement of parking at the facility and coordinates and oversees parking needs assessment. + Participate in long-range planning of programs and facility needs related to parking management and PBX operations.
