Transport-Supervisor-Vineland

MAJOR FUNCTION:

The transport supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily transport operations. This individual will be responsible for transport procedures in addition to staff oversight.  Staff oversight will include evaluations, hiring process, disciplinary process, and scheduling. Leads departmental process improvement initiatives. Ensures effective communication within Inspira. This individual will be responsible for transport procedures and ensuring proper, time sensitive completion. Responsible for monitoring equipment safety, maintenance, and cleanliness. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

High school Diploma / G.E.D. Equivalent required 2-4 years of progressive leadership experience preferred. 3-5 years patient Transport or related experience required. 

Certifications/Licensure:

AHA Basic Life Support (Required)

Knowledge & Skills:

Has the ability to work effectively with others. Conducts themselves in a professional and ethical manner. Supports team members. Drives throughput and time sensitive indicators such as job completion. Demonstrates willingness to assume additional tasks and responsibilities. Ability to exercise initiative within their scope of practice and benefit from constructive criticism. Knowledgeable about role and responds to Emergency Codes

Position Responsibilities

•      Prepares and maintains employee schedules

•      Assigns breaks and lunches

•      Oversees daily operations.

•      Conducts 90 day and annual employee evaluations

•      Participates in interview, selection, training, and onboarding of new employees.

•      Identifies departmental issues and provides resolution and follow through.

•      Provides coaching and disciplinary action, when required for staff members.

•      Demonstrates proper infection control practices and precautions in all patient care activities.

•      Assists with orientation and on the job training of new employees.

•      Clears hallways of equipment

•      Assists with transport jobs when needed. 

•      Coordinates calls to reprioritize jobs with other departments. 

•      Member of the fire response team.
