What you'll do:

·Provide onsite repairs on various types of equipment including trailers, chassis, converters, reefers·Inspect and diagnose issues quickly and repair immediate need items·Perform general trailer repairs on air brakes and electrical components·Conduct and sign off on annual safety inspections·Outline all parts used and input comments into the work order (complaint, cause and correction) regarding the repair into Maintenance software system·Notify Lead Hand of any additional repairs required·Participate in formal and informal training sessions·Perform other maintenance duties as required

What you'll need:

·Provincial Ontario 310J Certification of Qualification (Truck or Trailer), or corresponding interprovincial designation ·Registered 310J with Skilled Trades Ontario·Prior work experience as a Technician on various types of equipment including trailers, chassis, converters, reefers; and/or mobile experience an asset·Steel / aluminum welding experience (Stick/Mig) an asset·Valid G-class driver’s license an asset·Knowledgeable with  reefers, air brakes and electrical diagnostics·Able to use current technology to ensure vehicle safety and performance·Safety minded·Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team member·Good verbal and written communication skills, relationship building and interpersonal skills·Willingness to learn new skills
