The transportation analyst owns the transportation capacity and forecast model creation and maintenance on a divisional/commodity level. Partner with internal customers to understand long-term and short-term capacity needs and changes with a spend of $40M to $60M. Partners with transportation procurement to identify carriers to be included in RFP’s and to vet carrier RFP responses. Be the voice of transportation with internal Merchant teams. Create and maintain vendor level transportation scorecards to help TSC maintain shipper of choice status.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Support both long-term and short-term commodity/divisional demand through planning, organizing, and executing transportation capacity solutions. Develop daily/weekly/monthly reports to proactively track commodity/divisional level transportation performance. Develop an understanding of customers’ needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met. Data gathering and analysis using a variety of data sources and technologies as needed. Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers (Merchants, Inventory Team Members, Vendor Management and Vendor Site Personnel) Report project plans, progress, and results. Review transportation performance with customer centers against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements. Domestic Travel Requirements of (5% to 10%) to vendors, DC’s & mixing centers.Required Qualifications
Experience: 1-3 years’ experience in transportation or supply chain. Minimum of 1 year experience in analysis and/or reporting. Experience with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required in business, supply chain, finance, logistics, or any related field preferred. Any combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional Certification (CSCP) or ISM Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
