GENERAL SUMMARY:
• Transportation Analyst is responsible to assure the execution of the booking process from origin to destination.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ocean freight booking execution at origin to assure freight forwarders provide sailing confirmation as per booking needs.
• Support and provide weekly forecast of FCL/LCL and consolidation volume to freight forwarders to assure containers to suppliers.
• Overseas Transit time monitoring.
• Maintain and provide track and trace accuracy/visibility to our customers as planning department
• Working closely with suppliers to assure the booking compliance.
• Assure that the services offered by Freight forwarders and ocean liners are under the standards required and contracted by BRP.
• Main contact between freight forwarder, agent at origin, overseas suppliers and planning department to execute overseas operation within BRP parameters.
• Working closely with Freight forwarders, internal departments, local transportation business partners and MX/USA Customs brokers in order to provide support in the day-to-day overseas operation.
• Airfreight/Expedite request management, sourcing and execution up to final delivery.
• Overseas shipping instructions creation and modification.
• Identify, establish and maintain Key Performance Indicators for the department.
• Support audits, make and update implementation of external logistics procedures documentation and standardize as applicable.
• Performs activities related to safety.
• Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the department supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing or transportation environment, with relevant experience in inbound logistics (transportation, materials planning, industrial engineering, etc.)
• Education in engineering, logistics management, administration, or any other relevant field experience in supply chain manufacturing ops.
• Knowledge in Mexico ports operation, international trades port operation, USA-MX Transport.
• Knowledge in customs regulation and border crossing are consider as an asset.
• Leadership and Autonomous skills.
• Fully Bilingual (English, Spanish)
• MS Office, SAP
• Six Sigma knowledge is a plus
• Data analytical skills
• Good punctuality and responsible
• Efficient communication
