The primary purpose of this position is to determines appropriate shipment rates and routes prescribed in established agreements for the movement of freight with primary responsibility for express shipping of freight worldwide and movement of cargo. Responsibilities Plans and carries out shipping arrangements. Identifies hazardous, classified, and sensitive cargo requiring special handling. Conducts pre and post audits and maintains shipping documentation. Provides technical guidance and advice on problems in all phases of outbound/inbound shipping. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of general experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in demonstration of thorough experience with and knowledge of tariff rates and related and regulatory guidance for the movement and routing of all types of freight; Knowledge of cargo movement rules, regulations, and procedures to effect shipment; Extensive experience with automated transportation systems.. OR EDUCATION: Applicants MUST possess at least 2 years above high school level education that is directly related to the work of the position being filled.
