Transportation Claims Manager

 

This role will oversee and manage the claims process within our organization & ensure the timely/accurate processing of claims while maintaining high levels of internal customer satisfaction and compliance with industry regulations. The Claims Manager will lead a team, optimize claims procedures, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure claims are handled effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee OBT Claims Recovery – 4 Heads Direct and manage OBT Dealer Claims – 2 Heads Supervise and guide IBT Claims Recovery – 1.5 Heads Act as a key decision-maker in engagements with external and internal legal and regulatory governing bodies regarding vehicle theft Authorize and approve trailer damage claims and ARX Barrier claims for IB and OB Represent and advocate for the team in the VP authorization meetings Evaluate and approve high-dollar transportation claim requests Authorize and oversee payments up to $75K on DOAs Leverage and optimize multiple internal and external systems to streamline claims management Lead and conduct site visits to plants and cross-docks to ensure operational efficiency and compliance

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field 3 +years of relevant work experience (preferably within the automotive industry) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Self-motivated with a proven ability to handle conflict and resolve challenges. Resourceful in managing complex tasks and assignments with minimal supervision. Demonstrated success in achieving results and leading cross-functional teams. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to confidently engage and communicate with suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with data analytics. Outstanding analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to identify, prioritize, and manage critical tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). EOE / Disability / Veteran
