You are:

Accountable for supporting the Transportation team in delivering high quality service internally. Position is focused on supporting the Transportation Coordinators and Transportation Manager with live, proactive tracking and tracking of all transportation loads. The goal of the position is to aid in the daily tracking and reporting, and to deliver exceptional service to the team.  In order to be successful, this individual must be able to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment, while being highly multitasked and detail oriented.

Please note this position is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm, Central time.

You will:

Track all truck loads daily in the Pick Up Tracking System. Ensure that the Delivery customer pickups are on time, and report any delays to the Transportation Manager and coordinators. Closely track and monitor “hot ticket” items and report to the Transportation Manager and coordinators. Work with the Transportation Vendors to ensure that all inbound and outbound shipments will be picked up and delivered on time. Report all issues to the Transportation Manager and coordinators. Be available to assist the Transportation team if needed for any project and other duties as assigned.

Your background:

As a Transportation Clerk, you have:

At least three years of experience related to customer service. Ability to work unsupervised for up to 10 hours. Excellent customer service skills. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel. Basic understanding of database structures. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
