**JOB SUMMARY**
**Job Profile Summary**
The Transportation Compliance Analyst position is responsible for working with the Transportation Compliance Specialists, Supervisor of Transportation Compliance, Operations, Logistics, Quality Control, Fuels Compliance, Marine Assurance and other stakeholders as necessary to support programs and activities applicable to FRA, FMCSA, USCG, FAA, PHMSA, DOT and international requirements for hazmat and modal compliance. Primary functions include: data analysis, identification and communication of potential data gaps and compliance issues, coordinate compliance training program scheduling and delivery, facilitate all required hazmat and modal registrations, create and track metrics related to hazmat and modal compliance, manage shipping accounts and complete various projects as assigned by specialist, supervisor or manager positions in support of team bench strength.
**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**
+ Metric Tracking and Analysis - responsible for tracking all transportation compliance data, providing specialist, supervisor and manager positions with reports related to metrics / trends in hazmat and modal activity.
+ Hazmat and Modal Registrations – coordinate the preparation and submittal of all required hazmat and modal registrations. This includes registrations required by PHMSA hazmat, FMCSA, USCG, UCR, USCBP and FRA.
+ Training Support – support transportation compliance specialists in the development, update and delivery of required hazmat and modal training programs. This includes coordination of training scheduling and recordkeeping.
+ Shipping Account Support –support transportation compliance specialists in managing DOT certifications and authorizations for various hazmat shipping accounts, which includes FedEx, UPS and various other shipping systems.
+ Special Projects –provide support for various hazmat and modal compliance projects as assigned by the specialist, supervisor and manager positions.
**Education**
+ Bachelor's Degree in a science or technical field or equivalent work experience
**Work Experience**
+ 1+ years of experience in DOT / hazmat / transportation compliance or related compliance fields (environmental, safety) or experience in auditing, training or data management.

+ Ability to: Use a personal computer with the Windows® operating system to complete time sheets, send and receive e-mail, and access information posted on the Company’s intranet

+ Ability to: Compile and/or examine information and select the best action from defined alternatives
+ Ability to: Organize and/or analyze information and identify solutions from a range of alternatives
+ Ability to: Deal with complex issues which require substantial analysis or independent judgment
**Licenses and Certifications**
+ DOT Hazmat Certification preferred but not required
