Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

Ensure the close out & dispatch of all shipments through the Ops Team Ensure all international shipments have international documents, including the collection of Shipper’s Export Declarations. File EEI when applicable.Identify International Shipments as a priority for all outbound shippingCreate Hazmat documents and ensure proper labeling by all partiesDaily review of carrier equipment needs and door assignments while engaging daily with all carriersCommunicate with carriers for swaps / live loadsReview all internal / external documentation requests for LTL / TL shipments, including carrier tracking or pro number updates as requiredEnsure that all outbound cold chain orders each have a printed packing list for purposes of scheduling the required carrierEnsure proper trailer temperature set points for all cold chain shipments and the required temperature is noted on the bill of lading and/or manifestReconcile open orders report with outbound / staged freight throughout the day with the Ops Team in the assigned buildingManage any Mode conversionsCommunicate with Transportation & Ops teams regarding any staged freight, Express runs and city runsEnsure operations are correctly loading onto every trailer through direct validation of loadManage communications where advanced shipment notice details are requiredWork Group Leadership and Supervisory BackupDirecting, instructing, guiding, and training the staffProblem Solving and Continuous Process ImprovementThe position will be involved with issues and problems that result from the loading function; solid problem-solving skills are required.Oversee loading of outbound trailers to include pallet count validation and proper chain-of-custody transferEnsure that the loading area is safe and that carriers adhere to all safety requirementsEnsure that all internal and external shipping requests are acknowledged and addressedEnsure proper load securement and close-out of all trailersEffectively communicate with all internal departments, clients, and carriers as needed to ensure proper handling of shipmentsAll other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Education - High School DiplomaExperience and/or Training -  Background in operations and knowledge of the transportation industry and Mercury Gate or TMS as a userLicenses/Certificates - HAZMAT is a nice to haveTechnology/Equipment - TMS, auditing tools; ability to develop reporting and analytics; Microsoft Office Suite- intermediate level

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Bachelor’s DegreeExperience and/or Training - Background in Transportation and DistributionLicenses/Certificates - Degree in Supply Chain or Finance APICS CSCPTechnology/Equipment - Microsoft Office Suite of Services, Power BI User Level

2nd shift- hours are approximately 12PM-9PM CT (may need to fill in during absences occasionally on 1st shift)

This role takes place in a temperature-controlled environment year-round

MANDATED UNIFORM: khaki-colored pants, close-toed shoes, and a business casual shirt. Leggings, yoga pants, or any form-fitting stretch pants are not permitted. Shoes should be sturdy and provide full coverage, ensuring no skin or socks are visible through the shoe material. Once the probationary period has concluded (60 days) employees receive an allotment to receive customized EVERSANA uniforms.
