Transportation Coordinator
**Transportation Coordinator** **Job Description** We are seeking a meticulous and organized Transportation Coordinator to manage and streamline our daily shipment processes. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of trailer/container information, maintain relationships with carriers, and adhere to international shipping standards. This role is crucial for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, preparing necessary paperwork, and ensuring timely and correct processing of all shipments. **Responsibilities** + Organize and communicate daily workload. + Verify the accuracy of trailer/container information for all pickups and deliveries. + Collect, count, and prepare picklists for shipments and enter information into carrier portals. + Maintain relationships with carriers and the Planning Team to ensure coverage of all shipments. + Direct international shipments to adhere to FIFO standards. + Audit international paperwork, ensuring all documents are present, stamped, and completed correctly. + Request, organize, and maintain copies of all Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for international shipments. + Coordinate with carriers and schedule times for all inbound and outbound shipments. + Enter shipment information into the schedule and review for inconsistencies. + Prepare folders with necessary paperwork for each outbound shipment. + Run daily reports to ensure shipments are processed correctly and on time. + Coordinate pickup or repair of rejected trailers and maintain an updated list of all rejections. + Complete daily reporting for Security and other management-requested reports. + Plan transport for all Less-than-Truckload (LTL) shipments. + Run the Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) report daily and update with correct dates. + Maintain the EMC planning document with plant production and warehouse shipping information. + Create shipments and secure transport for test products and international registration samples. + Monitor partial pallet numbers and adjust shipments as needed. + Work with IT to ensure the schedule is up-to-date and functionality is maximized. + Keep a current record of heat-treated and domestic pallets on-hand and order as needed. + Ensure reliable attendance at scheduled shifts. + Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. + Perform all other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Two (2) years of experience in transportation supervision. + Proficiency with DOT and other driver/carrier regulations. + Intermediate skills in computer or tablet usage. + Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word). + Experience with SAP. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong customer service and administrative support skills. + Data entry proficiency. **Why Work Here?** We offer a full scope of benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). The warehouse spans 400,000 square feet and includes an office area for the transportation coordinators/routers. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
