Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Transportation Designer, we'll count on you to:

Work as a member of a design team to perform roadway and highway designs using local
(state, county, or city) AASHTO standards: horizontal and vertical alignments, intersection layouts and sight distance
determinations, interchange layouts, roadway drainage, and right-of-way plans.Work with a team in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for projects of various sizes and complexity.Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months.Solid written and verbal communication skills.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in highway and roadway designPennDOT and/or PA Turnpike experiencePreference is given to local candidatesFamiliarity with Microstation, AutoCAD, InRoads, ORD, and/or other design software packages
