Job Summary

At Unifi, the Transportation Dispatcher supports the Delta employee shuttle bus system with scheduling, routing, and dispatching duties; operates a variety of communication equipment, including two-way radio, telephone, computer mobile dispatch terminal and scheduling systems; to verify and monitor staff locations; prepare, prioritize and relay transportation requests, including emergencies; to participate in a variety of administrative and clerical duties related to assigned area of work

Responsibilities for Dispatcher

Utilize video monitoring to identify high rider volume and trigger adjustments to bus flow as needed to minimize wait times for all employees. Dynamically adjust and effectively communicate route times and locations to drivers. Generate reports to show the highs and lows of the rider movement throughout each day Document complaints and distribute them to Management for processing. Maintain records on safety, complaints, and recognition for all drivers. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Transportation Dispatcher

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with others under any condition. Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes, and personnel Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties. Ability to multitask and work under stress and remain calm during rapidly changing circumstances. Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

1-2 Years relevant Dispatch experience. High school diploma or equivalent, such as successful completion of a GED. Eligible to receive appropriate security clearances after satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
