Transportation Dispatch Lead

Location: Nederland, Colorado

Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado's northern Front Range. Eldora is located just outside of the charming mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, about 20 miles west of Boulder and less than 50 miles from downtown Denver.

Eldora strives to deliver Colorado’s Front Range the most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors.   Eldora Mountain Resort employs up to 700 employees at peak season and has 680 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, including a Woodward Mountain Park experience, and a world class Nordic Center.

The Parking Department runs Eldora’s shuttle operations 7 days a week throughout the ski season. The Transportation Dispatch Lead will be responsible for coordinating and documenting all on-site and off-property shuttle operations. Eldora runs shuttle operations through the base area, off-site to the Nederland High School, and down to Boulder. This role will need to work independently to ensure all shuttle operations are running efficiently and on-time. This role requires an organized person who is comfortable working with the public, communicating and logging info via radio, working in a high-traffic environment in difficult winter conditions. While there are no direct supervisor responsibilities the Transportation Dispatch Lead will coordinate all shuttle operations and must feel comfortable giving commands and operating as a team in a busy environment. Oversee all shuttle operations.Communicate with drivers via radio and record departure times, head counts, missed routes, traffic issues etc.Work with management to create efficient routes and services using the fleet available.Create processes and procedures that improve the shuttle system for guests and employees.Help shuttle drivers with maintenance and vehicle cleaning.Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of timeMust be able to work in all weather conditions.Must be able to work all weekends & holidays.Must be able to do basic math & be comfortable taking payment from guests.Must be able to lift 50lbs.Must be able to lift and move signs, cones, and equipment on muddy and icy surfaces.Ages 21+Ability to operate company vehicles and have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to pass a MVR check.

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $22+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
