Based in Tempe, you will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your hydrologic, hydraulic, and drainage design expertise to serve on transportation related projects. You will solve a range of complex problems and analyze possible solutions using standards procedures.
Project opportunities may include hydrology / hydraulic modeling and drainage design for new light rail lines, federal lands projects, and local state highway and county road projects. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with our clients. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work in a team environment with other project engineers on the detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design of urban and rural transportation and transit projects.
• Development of the hydrologic and hydraulic models per the requirements of the project and various transportation public agencies such as ADOT, FCDMC, MCDOT, etc.
• Provide support in the preparation of contract drainage drawings, specifications, and estimates.
• Assist in the preparation of projects specific drainage reports and technical memorandum.
• Perform other duties assigned by the project engineers and project managers.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required from a U.S. ABET accredited school or equivalent.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Up to 4 years of experience in water resources (Hydrology and Hydraulics) and drainage design.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
• Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (Microstation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD/Civil 3D) is preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience using H&H design software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, GIS, ORD DU) is preferred.
