Summary

CHS is seeking a Transportation EH&S Manager to lead and drive our Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives across the transportation division. In this pivotal role, you will ensure top-tier EH&S performance, spearhead impactful safety programs, and manage critical compliance efforts.

Responsibilities Lead and provide professional direction to Transportation field EH&S professionals across the CHS geography. Collaborate with transportation operations leaders regarding EHS strategic plans, capital expenditures and divisional initiatives. Present Transportation EH&S metrics, training, and initiatives at leadership meetings Conduct analysis of business unit(s) to create and provide input for strategic direction of the overall Transportation EH&S program. Conduct Transportation EH&S audits and site inspections, report writing, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective action plans. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek methods to address the hazard. Collaborate with Safety Specialists/Coordinators and Senior Director of EH&S for Transportation EH&S in response to audit and loss control inspections; ensure corrective actions are implemented. Review incident investigation details, root cause analysis and corrective actions, and oversee the implementation of those corrective actions. Respond to emergencies or significant environmental and safety concerns within Transportation.Minimum Qualifications (required) High School diploma or GED4+ years of experience in Environmental, Health, and/or SafetyPrior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilitiesAdditional Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred in Occupational Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or related fieldAbility to obtain OSHA 30hr certification. Working knowledge of agriculture industry, fleet requirements/safety protocols and Environmental Health and Safety Rules and RegulationsAbility to travel 25%-40%Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
