Our Richmond, VA office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our growing Transportation team.

Responsibilities

The candidate will develop concepts, preliminary engineering and final design for projects. Tasks include but are not limited to; developing geometric alignments, profiles, modeling, design sections, grading design, drainage, super elevation, construction details, work zone traffic control, and signing and striping plans. In addition, this role will assist in managing projects.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringPE License4+ years of experience with transportation, traffic, and/or roadway designWorking knowledge of VDOT design standards and specificationsAbility to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, and utility companiesExperience preparing final design plans, specifications and construction cost estimatesGood problem solving and technical writing skillsProficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Synchro, and/or MicroStation drafting and designProficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
