Job Title: Civil Engineer - Transportation Design
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer with a strong background in transportation design to join our dynamic team. This role involves contributing to various project phases from design to execution, ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver committed to excellence and client satisfaction.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare reports, studies, proposals, blogs, and journal articles.Develop project scopes and fees.Manage accounting for individual project tasks, including scheduling, scope, role, and budget.Meet and track task budgets and schedules.Contribute to business development efforts.Understand and improve client relationships by meeting internal and external customer needs and expectations.Perform and occasionally direct project design, including engineering calculations and the use of computer design software.Collect and assemble complex project data.Prepare complex project documents, including specifications and bid documents.Review complex drawings to ensure clarity, conciseness, and thoroughness.Prepare quantity takeoffs either independently or by directing others.Maintain project documentation.Conduct complex site observations, recording and reporting existing conditions.Essential SkillsProficiency in roadway design, transportation design, and traffic engineering.Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.3+ years of related experience with a strong technical background in design.Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.Additional Skills & QualificationsProfessional licensed engineer in MO or KS (ideal).Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday with flexible working hours. This position may require additional work outside regular hours as necessary to meet project requirements. Our team consists of approximately 40 staff members, including surveying, CAD design, and engineering professionals, who support clients across various municipalities and communities in the Kansas City Metro area. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $89000.00 - $132000.00
