Job Description
A growing transportation engineering firm is searching for a transportation engineer, planner, or urban planner to join their rapidly expanding team. This role involves working on safety action plans, transportation master plans, parking studies, and traffic impact studies using Synchro, Vissim, or ArcGIS. Familiarity with ITE (Institute of Transportation Engineering) standards is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience running models in Synchro and Vissim, or similar software.
ResponsibilitiesRun models in Synchro and Vissim.Conduct calculations and create written reports to describe findings to stakeholders including developers, cities, or DOTs.Work on safety action plans, transportation master plans, parking studies, and traffic impact studies.Essential SkillsExperience with Synchro and Vissim.Knowledge of ITE standards.EIT certification or bachelor's degree in geography or urban planning.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Microstation, ArcGIS, and roadway design.Experience with traffic impact analysis.Passion for transportation and a desire to stay in this discipline.Demonstrated desire and drive to learn and grow.Work Environment
This is a full-time, salaried role. The firm prioritizes ensuring team members enjoy their work and do not have to work overtime. The firm can hire up to two people. Engineers are drawn to this type of work because it is fast-paced and allows them to work on 2-3 projects each week. Combined sick/PTO with an additional bank of days for illnesses exceeding 5 days. PTO ranges from 10 to 20 days per year based on tenure, with 9 holidays including a floating holiday. Medical, dental, and vision coverage is 100% covered by the employer for individuals and families. Quarterly bonus system based on experience and performance. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
