The Civil Engineer will take some of the work load off the other Sr. Engineers. They willl help take on entire projects and manage them from cradle to grave. NCE prides themselves on work life balance and they have grown to a place where they need more support or they will start to burn their current Sr. Engineers.
This is also an opportunity to have a high level engineer position without working 70 hours a week. they average 45 -50 hours
As for projects, they have an array of transportation design projects for local agency clients. Based on the individual skills/talents and the project needs, they would be incorporated appropriately.
Managing projects to meet or exceed client requirements and expectations.
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Developing written project scopes and proposals and participating in project interviews.
• Managing the allocation of resources to complete assigned projects.
• Developing and maintaining ongoing positive relationships with clients through proactive
communication and timely responsiveness to our clients’ needs and wants.
• Independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to
carry out technical tasks, field tasks, studies, and analysis with ongoing review, coaching, and
interaction with their team.
• Preparing and generating plans, specifications, engineer’s estimates (PS&E).
• Reviewing field reports prepared by staff specialists.
• Providing guidance to office and field personnel.
• Organizing field work and assigning tasks to staff specialists.
• Assembling, reviewing, and evaluating complex data. Integrating data evaluations prepared by staff
specialists.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to project team members
Reviewing engineering work completed by others.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $60.09/hr.
