Position Overview & Responsibilities \n

This position is responsible for ensuring all live haul equipment sanitation needs are executed in accordance with safety, quality, and bio-security standards while meeting transportation schedule deadlines. The Transportation Hub Manager will provide leadership to the team working at the wash they supervise and will support the personal development of staff to fulfill individual career objectives as well as organizational needs. This individual will be expected to develop strong working relationships across company departments as well as repair and maintenance vendors to develop and implement solutions for keeping the wash site running effectively and efficiently. A strong sense of ownership in results as they relate to leadership and operational metrics is expected of the individual in this role.\n

Major Areas of Accountability\n\nResponsible for ensuring a safe work environment and culture in our facilities by leading and maintaining our safety programs.\nResponsible for supervising, coaching, and developing direct reports. Must work with contract labor partners to provide feedback on how the contract washers are performing and direct them as needed to achieve our business results. \nParticipate in the development of the departmental business plan and budgeting process to support continuous improvement and strategic initiatives.\nAccountable for improvement of Key Performance Indicators including leadership and operational metrics.\nEstablish and implement plans and strategies to develop trailer wash leads and wash staff to support career objectives and organizational leadership needs.\nCoordinate training, SOP development and process improvement initiatives to ensure compliance, support personal development and contribute to departmental progress.\nEnsure all required tools, equipment and resources are available and utilized to fulfill trailer wash functions as per SOP.\nSupervise and ensure quality, safety, bio-security and operational protocols and standards for the trailer wash are followed.\nImplement and uphold maintenance and repair schedules of all trailer wash facilities and equipment, including live haul trailers.\nInput data\/reporting and time keeping processes relative to trailer washes to ensure the needs of the business are fulfilled.\nEnsure execution of facility\/grounds maintenance & repair and coordinate with environmental resources to manage wastewater to company standards.\nEnsure trailers meet sanitation and operational expectations and are equipped with necessary supplies\/tools.\nProvide feedback to the Operations Manager on contract services, employee performance and work quality, labor needs and driver concerns and issues.\nMiscellaneous duties as assigned.\n\n

Education, Training, and Experience Required \n\nMinimum formal education required: High School Diploma or Equivalence\nMinimum number of years of prior job experience required: 2 years\nSpecialized Training requirements: None\nOther Technical Skills Required:\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to exercise effective judgment and act under pressure\nAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging environment\nProficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel\n\n\nOther Technical Skills required: Power washing experience preferred; mechanical background preferred.\n\n

Management Scope and level of responsibility\n\nEnsures the department's SOP's and processes are carried out correctly;\nSets daily and weekly priorities, ensuring reasonable workloads;\nInstruct staff regarding new procedures and, when needed, fill in for employees who are absent;\nHelps to solve tactical problems that employees are having with their jobs. \n\n

This position will require operating a company vehicle, or mileage reimbursement. Any employment offer for this position is contingent upon the review of your motor vehicle record (MVR). The MVR will be reviewed to determine insurability based on CFF's insurance carrier and company policy.\n
