Job SummaryWe are currently seeking a Transportation Human Factors and Industrial Engineer. This position will be attached to the Battelle office in Crystal City, VA. The work schedule will be 3 to 4 days a week in McLean, VA, or Crystal City, VA and the remaining time will be remote.
This selected candidate will perform Human Factors and Industrial Engineering research and testing, designs and develops tools, experiments, systems and environments. Specific domain and industry areas include, but are not limited to, transportation and highway safety, driver attention and safety, human machine interface (HMI), driver behavior, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), autonomous driving, connected vehicles, and emerging technologies in transportation.
Responsibilities Performs complex assignments related to the design and development of tools, systems and environments for increased efficiency and operating performance. Lead and/or conduct research and development activities for experiments and projects. Interprets complex data and results; writes technical reports. Prepares technical reports and makes presentations to client, both formal and informal.Troubleshoots processes when expected results are not obtained.
