As a Transportation Manager, you will manage Dyno Nobel Transportation Inc. terminal(s), shop, and activities of site employees. Responsible for serving all internal/external customers in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.

What You’ll Do

As the Transportation Manager, you will manage Dyno Nobel Transportation Inc (DNTI) terminal(s), shop, and activities of site employees. You will be responsible for serving all internal/external customers in a professional, safe, and efficient manner consistent with Dyno Nobel Americas (DNA’s) and DNTI’s mission, vision, and values. Other duties include:

Uphold site financial reporting including budget and monthly reconciliations. Generally, work in an office environment with visits to customer delivery locations and DNTI Terminal locations as required Operate and manage DNTI terminal(s) Maintain professional and effective leadership, conflict resolutions among drivers, customers and management. Direct daily assignments of the drivers and truck fleet including dispatch, route and equipment usage planning, and fuel management.  Maintain maintenance records and vehicle inspection reports per Department of Transportation requirements. Act as company liaison for customers to sell the services of DNTI Responsible for hiring, termination and performance decisions regarding personnel. Responsible for compliance and training employees on DOT, FMCSR, MSHA regulations and company safety practices and policies. Must be on call 24 hours a day to respond and make decisions in emergency situations.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or applicable field preferred or equivalent time/experience in job with proven skills 5+ years’ experience in trucking/logistics industry. 5+ years supervisory experience. Knowledge of Hazardous Materials, DOT, MSHA, and OSHA regulations. Class A CDL- Valid Medical Card with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Experience with transportation software programs (TMW, RoadNet, Mcloud, or Manugistics) required Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
