Summary
Ensures the proper development, implementation, and evaluation of the Transportation department by supervising staff, scheduling proper staffing levels, departmental and expenditure budgets, discipline and documentation of all departmental staff, customer service program, and all aspects of departmental daily operations.
Responsibilities
+ Implement a quality guest relations oriented training program to ensure quality performance of employees at the utmost professional level by training on CPR, Safety, Body Mechanics, and any other applicable topics to ensure quality.
+ Participates and monitors all aspects of employment and disciplinary process to retain the highest quality employees by interviewing, evaluating, administering discipline and making recommendations for discharge.
+ Develop and monitor all aspects of departmental budgets to maximize efficiency while ensuring a quality level of service by monitoring the staffing levels, productive hours, work load, and expenditures of each department.
+ Develops and implements a staffing schedule ensuring the proper daily operations of Transportation Department. This includes work assignments, vacations and paid time off, work assignment adjustments, and all aspects of the daily operations staffing schedule.
+ Develops, implements, and evaluates a departmental customer service program to ensure that all departmental employees are meeting all of our customer's expectations for service and service recovery when necessary. Program should include a reward and recognition program for employees when appropriate action is taken in dealing with problems as they arise.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Minimum: Skill and proficiency to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations and use oral grammar as normally acquired through official completion of high school or its equivalent. Skill and proficiency to use correct oral and written grammar and perform basic business accounting principles as normally acquired through the attainment of an associate's degree or its equivalent.
Experience
Minimum: Knowledge of organization skills, problem analysis and problem solving, negotiation and mediation of issues as normally acquired through 4 to 6 years of management or supervisory experience.
Licensure, Registration, Certification
Minimum: Must have valid drivers license
