**Overview** Kimley-Horn's Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FL) office is seeking a Transporation Planner with 5+ years of experience to join their Transportation and Traffic team! This is not a remote position. **Responsibilities** + Work with our Multi-Modal Transportation and Traffic team leading and performing a variety of transportation-related task including: + Transportation analyses and design + Metropolitan transportation planning + Safety studies + Corridor concept development + Other various transportation and traffic related tasks + Project Management + GIS Analysis + Contribute to the growth of this practice by participating in client meetings, client communication/coordination, mentorship of junior-level staff, and task management while working with a variety of individuals **Qualifications** + 5+ years of directly related experience + American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) Certification Preferred + Experience preparing traffic impact studies, multi-modal planning studies and improvements, traffic signal and lighting plans, signing and striping plans, and a variety of technical and planning reports + Proficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic, TransCAD, CUBE, AutoCAD, and/or other traffic and engineering software + Strong written and oral communication skills + Ability to work with and balance priorities among multiple projects and project managers, as well as provide direction to entry-level Transportation Analysts **Why Kimley-Horn?** At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
