In the role of Transportation Planner, we'll count on you to:
Work as part of the Transportation Planning team under the direction of the Project Managers on a variety of transportation projects, including but not limited to Transportation Master Plan studies, Transit Plans and Business Cases, Active Transportation Studies, as well as potentially traffic studies.Work individually as well as within a team structure, effectively communication and corresponding with the team and clients.Undertake technical analysis to support a wide variety of transportation studies. Experience with design software, travel demand modelling software,and traffic analysis software considered a plus.Perform other duties as needed including Mapping, data analytics, anddraftingskills such asGIS Pro,PowerBI/Tableau,and AutoCAD or Autoturn are considered preferred assets.Preferred Qualifications
Master's degreeA minimum 1-year related experienceEIT, P.Eng., or RPP eligibility in AlbertaStrong verbal communication and written skillsExperience with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to multitask while working on many projects at onceSkills and experience in transportation planning andtraffic engineering (e.g. GIS Pro, Synchro/SimTraffic, Aimsun, Vissim, Emme)Skills and experience in design software (i.e. AutoCAD , MicroStation Version 8, and other design packages).Required QualificationsBachelor's degree An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
