Kimley-Horn's Reston, Virginia (VA) office is seeking a Transporation Planner with 4+years of experience to join their Transportation and Traffic team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities Work with our Multi-Modal Transportation and Traffic team leading and performing a variety of transportation-related task including:Traffic impact studiesMulti-modal transportation analyses and designSafety studiesTravel demand modelingMultimodal corridor concept developmentOther various transportation and traffic related tasksITS Planning and DesignSignal DesignProject Management GIS AnalysisContribute to the growth of this practice by participating in client meetings, client communication/coordination, mentorship of junior-level staff, and task management while working with a variety of individuals Qualifications 4+years of directly related experienceAmerican Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) Certification PreferredExperience preparing traffic impact studies, multi-modal planning studies and improvements, traffic signal and lighting plans, signing and striping plans, and a variety of technical and planning reportsProficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic, TransCAD, CUBE, AutoCAD, and/or other traffic and engineering software Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to work with and balance priorities among multiple projects and project managers, as well as provide direction to entry-level Transportation Analysts Why Kimley-Horn?
