Transportation Planning GIS Co-op Spring 2025

Position Summary:

The individual will serve as part of a team of geographic information system (GIS) specialists who create or maintain spatial databases, create or maintain web pages, create or update maps, perform spatial analyses, process data requests, and provide assistance in managing multi-year projects (i.e. oblique imagery, custom web-based applications, and custom road inventory upgrades) conducted by consultants/ vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In addition to technical duties, the individual may also update existing summary reports, update existing technical manuals explaining the use of the various applications, and create new reports as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

The selected co-op should be willing to work in a fast-paced office environment, where it is necessary to work on multiple task/projects simultaneously and interact professionally with staff, other agencies, and the public.
