Verdantas is presently seeking a Transportation Project Manager for our Transportation Business Unit. As a Transportation Project Manager, you will be responsible for project management of small to medium-sized multidiscipline projects, design and permit production, and have close interaction with clients. You will be responsible for putting teams together in order to complete projects of a high standard of quality, within deadlines, and within budgetary requirements.
Responsibilities: Project Manager is responsible for client satisfaction and relationship management in an effort to exceed client expectations and enhancement of the overall client experience Provide clear and consistent communication to both internal and external clients on performance and project status Develops/reviews the project scope and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) for all projects assigned Serves as a project manager and project engineer on projects and as a designated client contact explaining and modeling efficient project management processes to less experience staff Prepares and directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project Prepares/develops the project proposal estimating engineering costs, determining engineering disciplines needed and forecasting total resources required for the project Prepares/monitors project budget. Has overall responsibility for the profitability of his/her project Controls work-in-process, ensures accurate client billings, and monitors outstanding accounts receivable and collection efforts on his/her projects Monitors project throughout all phases ensuring project schedules and budget compliance Attends client meetings, communicating concerns and changes with the client in order to ensure a positive relationship Interprets and complies with all governmental requirements, ordinances, and permitting Author/Publish social media posts on innovation, technology or project highlights. Actively participate in industry organization(s) such as ASHE or ACEC Responsible for administering Client Savvy or ECMS surveys throughout the year
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Transportation or related discipline 7-10 years of experience in the transportation industry with 5+ years’ experience in the management and delivery of high profile projects for major transportation clients with an emphasis on PennDOT and PA Turnpike Commission Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or PMP certification preferred or 5+ years of Project Management experience Strong knowledge of DOT project requirements. (PennDOT & ODOT preferred) Active member in local/regional associations such as AASHTO, ASHE, or other technical discipline associations Experience securing and managing successful projects is preferred
