Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Lead Specialist to contribute to our Transportation team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville.  Leads manage customer relations to resolve customer inquiries both accurately and timely. Work well in cooperation with others for the benefit of reaching company goals and objectives. Utilize effective judgement to make sound decisions based on the needs of the situation. Provide guidance and direction to Customer Care Specialists.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 7a-4p (Flexible start time) OT when needed

Required Qualifications:

HS education or equivalent5 years transportation experience

Key Responsibilities:

Generates and maintains all routing instructions, carrier information, and tracing data upon review of transportation analyses of carrier costs for truckload carrier, less than truckload carrier, and small parcel carriersAssigns carriers to inbound and outbound lanes based on pricing and availability for all Ingram Distribution Centers and certify the documentation is correct and complete for the audit, payment and claims to be completed efficiently and accurately.Highly involved in service requirements for all aspects of customer requirements for key accounts.Manages carrier performance daily to ensure pick up, delivery, claims and tracing are completed as scheduled and current for the benefit of customer, Ingram Operations and carrier compliance.Provides a support function for Customer Care, Pub Support and other internal clients and manages the communication network between Ingram and all modes of transportation regarding shipment tracing, appointment scheduling, carrier pickup and delivery and numerous performance standards.Works with carriers to develop settlement on disputed claims.Serves as point of contact with both internal and external clients.Files claims with carriers, monitors progress, including mailing 30, 60 and 90 day letters, applies payments and prepares documents for imaging.Obtains a thorough understanding of carrier contracts.Audits freight bills for compliance and makes appropriate decisions on payment.Sets up invoices for payment in APC system.Reconciles accounts receivable statements.This list is not exhaustive
