Verdantas is seeking a Transportation Staff Engineer for a position in Wilkes-Barre, PA, or Lehigh Valley, PA.
Responsibilities: Primary duties include preparation of roadway designs including intersection geometric design, roundabout design/planning, general highway design and preparation of final Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&Es) for State DOT projects Reviews draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Updates design requirements as necessary Attend applicable conferences and networking events to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff Coordinate engineering efforts with Discipline Managers and Project Managers as part of a team approach to delivering projects May work with Project Managers and/or Discipline Managers on the following.- Coordination of sub-consultant work.- Project Delivery Monitoring of job progress and profitability Work with the Project Manager, Discipline Managers, and clients in a way which will promote the goals of teamwork, client satisfaction, continual improvement, and profitability.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 0-2 years of experience Proficiency in Bentley drafting and modeling programs including Microstation, PowerDraft and Power InRoads is required. Experience in Bentley Open Roads Designer is a plus, as well as proficiency in Synchro and/or Sim Traffic software. PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike experience a plus PA Professional Engineers license preferred but not required
