TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR STARTING AT 54K

Responsibilities include:

 

Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation, operations and production goalsDirect delivery drivers in transportation services, such as moving, storing, and delivering quality product to customersConfer with supervisors, customers, contractors and other personnel to exchange information to solve problems regarding freight flowMonitor and ensure proper performance and use of vehicles and materialPlan and establish transportation routesEnsure all DOT and company regulations are adhered to by the workforceConduct safety training on and off-site locations; travel may be required 10% of timeMonitor and coordinate maintenancePromote and manage safety Other tasks as assigned by the Transportation manager

Qualifications include:

 

Working knowledge and experience in a logistics role in applying principles and methods of moving goods by road, including the relative costs and benefitsExperience in motivating, developing and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the jobKnowledge and experience with Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and regulations and ensuring the workforce is in compliance with such lawsStrong understanding of interstates and highway systems in the Western States' regions and potential obstacles that could delay, damage, or impede timely deliverySoftware and computer skills, such as Google Applications, PC Miler, Samsara, Lytx and other relevant logistic systemsHigh school diploma or equivalent is required

Nice to Haves:

Two or more years of Transportation Logistics experience
