Transportation Training Manager (Full-Time) - Any major Linde location in Canada

Primary Purpose:

The Transportation Training Manager will oversee training and compliance for the distribution and fleet operations of Linde Canada Packaged Gases, including, but not limited to, providing support for training, SOP implementation, managing and reporting safety KPIs, and the development of personnel in the field distribution and fleet operations. The Transportation Training Manager will provide guidance and coaching to distribution facilities to help meet Linde Canada safety and compliance goals.

This individual will report to theDirector of Operations and be part of the Packaged Gasoperations team.

Key Accountabilities:

The Transportation Training Manager will have responsibilities for the following:

Provide oversight and guidance to facilities to hire and onboard new driversOffer instructor led training on key distribution training modulesSign off on driver certification before the driver can commence solo duties; verify that all relevant driver training is completed and documentedResponsible for coordinating and ensuring that all ongoing distribution related training is complete and current for fleet operations driversMaintain the distribution portal to support locations with readily accessible materials as it relates to distribution policies and trainingWork with subject matter experts to champion, improve and implement training materialsResponsible for championing / implementing distribution safety KPIsProvide oversight on critical event reporting to enable field operations to monitor and coach driver behaviorSupport field operations with Electronic Logging Device to ensure driver compliance and manage notifications and violationsManage a team of Driver Trainers reporting direct to this position.

10 years in the transportation industry and driver trainingExperience managing large teams remotely

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, environment and quality principlesStrong record of building teams and developing direct reportsExperience with financial controls, budget preparationTravel as required
