 The transporter is responsible for independently moving patients from one location of the hospital to another. 

Responsibilities:

Moving patients by wheelchair or stretcher to and from, but not limited to, their patient room, Radiology Department, EEG, ED X-ray, Cardiology, PFT, ED CT, floor admissions and all other nursing units. Transfer patients from their bed to a wheelchair or stretcher, and respond to the location with the appropriate equipment when required. Transporters are also responsible for transporting blood for trauma, retrieving specimens, running STAT medications from the Pharmacy and sorting and delivering mail throughout the medical center. Transport C-Ports to the Cardiac Cath Lab ·Return all equipment to proper place after transportation of patient

Requirements:

High school diploma, equivalent or relevant experience. Prior patient care experience preferred Must be able to independently move patients from one location of the hospital to another. Must be flexible with hours and work weekends and holidays if necessary. BLS or CPR/AED training

 

The pay for this position ranges from $22.00 – $24.000 per hour.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
