Job Details The Transporter is responsible for transporting patients between the radiology department and Nursing units, utilizing the established safety methods. Responsibilities: Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher between radiology department and nursing units. Make sure that the seat belts have secured patient in whatever mode of transport chosen. Run intra hospital errands, such as getting supplies from pharmacy or central service, dietary, etc., when requested by supervisor. Maintain an atmosphere of friendliness and courtesy and show a personal interest in the patient. Be alert and willing to assist patients and their families in an enthusiastic manner with tact and cheerfulness. Requirements: High School diploma, GED or relevant experience required Previous experience as a transporter is preferred Ability to speak, read, and write English to the extent required by the position. Salary Range USD $23.79 - USD $30.93 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
