Position Summary: 

Under direct supervision by the Department Director, performs daily transporting of Guthrie Clinic patients to various destinations throughout the Clinic and Hospital or other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department.  Helps perform housekeeping duties at times.

Education, License & Cert: 

High school graduate or GED preferred.

Experience: 

Training will be provided.

Essential Functions: 

1. Transport patients.

2. Show initiative in learning and developing skills in understanding the needs of the patients that will be transported.

3. Utilizes proper body mechanics to prevent injuries.

4. Demonstrates willingness to accept non‐routine work assignments as required.

5. Demonstrates effective time management.

6. Takes initiative in doing extra work within areas of responsibility.

7. Performs tasks involved in answering pages for transporting patients or delivering wheelchairs/stretchers to various locations for the enterprise.

8. Assists with housekeeping functions when time allows or as directed by the department manager.
