Samaritas behavioral health is looking to grow our Trauma Assessment team with an individual who is passionate about empowering targeted treatment and coordination of care for children and families impacted by trauma. Do you have experience working with youth and families with a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field? Our TRAUMA ASSESSMENT CLINICIAN serves as a clinical member of the trans-disciplinary team conducting neurodevelopmental assessments for youth ages 1 - 17 involved in the child welfare system.

Serve as a clinical member of the trans-disciplinary Trauma Assessment team to conduct neurodevelopmental assessments for youth involved in the child welfare system ages 1-24. Write comprehensive Trauma Assessment reports to diagnose mental health conditions and provide appropriate recommendations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Participate in neurodevelopmental trauma assessments in partnership with the clinical teamParticipate in pre and post assessment discussions regarding the child’s histories, assignment of assessments, gathering of materials for individual cases, and review of the dayConduct psychosocial interviews, attachment assessments and administer clinical assessment tools, which includes scoring of various assessment tools, and report reviewsTimely completion of trauma assessment reports including reviewing, editing, and providing feedbackComplete interviews with biological parents, foster parents, and child welfare processions, as neededParticipate in scheduled supervision, staff meetings, and professional developmentAssist with other special projects and duties, as assigned _________________________________________________________________________________

Job Qualifications

 

Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

 

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related fieldLimited Licensed Professional Counselor, Temporary Limited License Psychologist, Limited Licensed Master Social Work, Licensed Professional Counselor, Limited Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Master Social WorkFull licensure preferred

 

Experience

 

Minimum of one-year experience working with youth and familiesExperience working within the Child Welfare settingExperience working with youth and families from diverse backgroundsExperience in clinical outpatient, home based, community mental health or behavioral health setting preferredExperience administering and interpreting psychological assessments preferred

 

Additional Work Requirements

 

Unrestricted valid driver’s license with good driving record required. Reliable personal transportation required; proof of current automobile insurance requiredAbility to travel to other Samaritas sites with Trauma Assessment Team to conduct assessments
