This is a part time position working as a Trauma Coordinator in the Emergency Department at Northwest Medical Center - Level IV Trauma.
Job Summary
The Trauma Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and maintaining a comprehensive trauma program, including system development, quality improvement, and staff education. This role manages the trauma registry, supports accreditation processes, and serves as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders. The Trauma Coordinator works collaboratively with leadership and clinical teams to enhance trauma care delivery, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and promote program growth.

3-6 years of clinical nursing experience in emergency or trauma care requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of trauma systems, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. Strong analytical skills to compile, analyze, and report data effectively. Proficiency in managing trauma registries and using data to inform program improvements. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders, including medical staff and regulatory agencies. Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives. Leadership and organizational skills to manage program growth and accreditation processes. Proficiency in trauma care protocols and advanced life support techniques.Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - AZ State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse preferred or TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course preferred or ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification preferred or Clinical Area of Specialty Certification Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) preferredState Specific Requirements
