Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Trauma Clinical Data Abstractor Lead is responsible for day-to-day operational activities as it relates to abstraction of data for trauma registry. What you will do in this role: + Provides general workflow direction to abstraction staff. + Assists Clinical Data Abstraction Manager in the review and improvement of processes and services + Completes quality control monitoring and reporting of completed abstracts for accuracy and timeliness + Responsible for reviewing medical records and following standards to abstract information according to various regulatory bodies and HCA Healthcare/Parallon. + Assists in staff training and development. + Completes edit checks and makes appropriate changes on a timely basis. + Follow standards and HCA Healthcare/Parallon instructions to abstract all reportable cases. · Maintains or exceeds established productivity and quality standards + Assist with case follow-up as requested. + Attend educational activities as approved by Manager or Director. + Maintain clinical knowledge of various abstracted measures. + Communicate in a timely manner with manager to maintain compliance. + Reports to the manager on team and individual work accomplishments, problems, progress in mastering tasks and processes. + Resolve errors resulting in the rejection of records from the data entry system. + Participates in required education. + Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement” + Other duties as assigned Requirements: + Undergraduate (Associate or Bachelor) degree preferred + Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Trauma Registry abstraction required. + Health Information Management; Coding, and Nursing experience may be beneficial. + CAISS credential through the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine required within 12 months of hire + CSTR, RHIT, RHIA, CCS, LVN or RN preferred " **Parallon** provides full-service revenue cycle management, or total patient account resolution, for HCA Healthcare.
