Trauma Inform Care (TIC) Advisor\n
Location: Los Angeles, CA (100% Onsite)\n
What We Are Looking For: \n
Under the direction of the Child Care Bridge Coordinator (CCBC), the Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Advisor will provide training and coaching for child care providers participating in the Child Care Bridge Program. All duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with pertinent contractual obligations and department standards. \n

The Ideal candidate would: \n\nProvide one-on-one coaching, advising, modeling, mentoring and supportive feedback for Family Child Care Home (FCCH) providers in their home.\nConduct observations and assist with providing technical resources for newly placed children.\nWork collaboratively and cooperatively as a part of a team with colleagues and staff within the Agency, the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Child care Alliance of Los Angeles (CCALA), as well as other agencies as required for effective program implementation.\nParticipate in initial and ongoing trauma-informed trainings for children age 0-5; maintaining and replenishing curriculum materials as needed. \n\n\nPerform other duties as assigned by the Child Care Bridge Program Coordinator and\/or Program Manager.\nRepresent Crystal Stairs and CCLA at designated program and community meetings, events and activities. \n\n

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:\n
\n\nBachelor's Degree in related fields of early childhood education, human services, social work or psychology with relevant work experience; (relevant work experience may be substituted for education)\nMust have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience working with the following: families and children, ages birth to five years; experience and comfort with public speaking; demonstrated experience in effective problem-solving and decision-making skill; and ability to work autonomously at multiple locations; Experience or understanding of FCCH providers is a plus. \nMust have strong effective communication, customer relations and presentation skills;\nMust have knowledge of California child development programs; trauma informed care, mental health issues of foster children, developmentally appropriate practices, effective teaching strategies, regulations, Community Care Licensing, and DCFS.\nMust have general knowledge of various County, State and Federal contract requirements. \n\n
