The Trauma Registrar is responsible for the accurate collection, validation, and interpretation of data related to trauma patients who meet the American College of Surgeons and the applicable State inclusion criteria. Ensures accuracy and confidentiality in the handling of all trauma data. Assists in the performance improvement initiatives for Trauma Service. Qualifications: In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: + High school diploma, required. + Associate Degree, preferred. + Healthcare experience or previous coding experience, preferred + Strong organizational skills + Strong written and oral communication skills + Experience in the use of information technology including Microsoft Office software, Excel and PowerPoint + Abbreviated Injury Scaling Course from the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine is required within 12 months of hire/transfer. + Registrar Course from the American Trauma Society is required within 12 months of hire/transfer. + Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries from the American Trauma Society, preferred.
