Travel Cardiac Renal Unit Med Surg/Tele RN – Days – Newburgh, IN **AUTO OFFER**
$3,318 wk./48 hrs. or $2,506 wk./36 hrs.
NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start: 2/24 – Bi-weekly orientation
Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)
Shift Requirement: 12hr Days 6:30-7
Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.
Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong cardiac/tele experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Patient Population: Post cardiac procedure (heart cath, ablation, pacemaker), A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes/CBI/renal biopsy, behavioral health/detox.
Skillset: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test), recover heart caths (femoral/TR bands), PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, drip management (cardiac-cardizem, amio, etc., other-heparin, lasix, protonix, etc.). CBI, detox/CIWA protocol experience, central line care. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!
Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio): 34 beds. Ratio: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:6-7; CN takes a patient assignment.

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed
As a professional practitioner, the RN – Telemetry assumesthe responsibility and accountability for delivery of patient care of telemetrypatients. The RN – Telemetry demonstrates the ability to make clinicaljudgments in an effective and efficient manner, with supervision. The RN – Telemetry exhibits critical thinkingand performance ability in the coordination of patient care, and consistentlyperforms according to nursing standards while remaining accountable forproviding patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.
Minimum Requirements:
