PotomacWave is currently looking for a Travel Management System (TMS) Specialist to join our team supporting a Federal Client in Springfield, VA. This position provides expert-level support for the ConcurGov Travel Application System, ensuring efficient and compliant travel operations across the organization. This role involves managing system configurations, conducting service update testing, supporting end users, and collaborating with stakeholders such as the Federal Finance Center (FINCEN), TSA Travel Administrators, and the ConCurGov Help Desk. The TMS Specialist also plays a key role in system modernization projects and contributes to developing and enforcing travel policies in alignment with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
Responsibilities:
Provide functional support for the ConcurGov Travel Application System to ensure a smooth end-user experience. Manage system configurations, including creating and maintaining Lines of Accounting (LOA) and routing lists. Provide support during year-end Travel Management systems configurations and other year-end activities.Conduct monthly testing of SAP Concur service updates and enhancements to prevent disruptions in travel operations. Perform accessibility and functionality testing during enterprise-wide operating system upgrades. Test travel interface enhancements to ensure compatibility with financial systems and regulatory compliance. Provide support to TSA Local Travel Administrators and end users for travel system-related inquiries. Conduct training sessions to enhance user proficiency and ensure adherence to travel policies. Prepare and disseminate communications about system updates, features, and best practices. Configure the system to align with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), FAATP, and TSA Travel Policy Guidance. Develop, review, and maintain Internal Standard Operating Procedures (ISOPs) for consistent system usage. Ensure travel policies and configurations comply with federal regulations and internal standards. Collaborate with finance, procurement, and IT departments to support system integrations and travel policy enforcement. Collaborate with the ConcurGov Help Desk, Travel Policy, internal teams, and other technology vendors FINCEN to resolve financial system-travel-related issues.Generate reports on travel expenses, policy compliance, and system usage for leadership. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or 8+ years of related experience. Three or more (3+) years of experience working with SAP Concur or ConcurGov travel management systems (or similar / comparable systems). Knowledge of E-Gov Travel Service (ETS), called ETSNext, is a plus.Core federal financial system knowledge and financial system integration experience.Proficiency in system administration tasks, including LOA management, routing list creation, and policy configuration. Experience conducting system testing for updates, patches, and enhancements. Exceptional communication skills for developing user communications, training, and documentation. Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting system issues and creating reports. Strong knowledge of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and federal travel policies.Familiarity with DHS and TSA travel processes and federal financial systems.Certification or formal training in SAP Concur or ConcurGov system administration (or similar / comparable system) preferred. Experience with federal financial systems, including DHS financial platforms. Experience supporting system modernization or IT upgrade projects. Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain DHS suitability.
