Travel MSICU RN - Nights - Newburgh, IN **AUTO OFFER**
NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start: 11/18 or 12/2 - Bi-weekly orientation
Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)
Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7
Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Campuses are 8 miles apart & potential to float to campus 11 miles away. 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.
Minimum Experience REQUIRED: 3 years RN experience, 1 full year of ICU/Critical Care experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Patient Population: Sepsis, pressors, large abdominal surgeries, respiratory distress, AKI/renal failure. Not cardiac heavy, no neuro/CVA.
Skillset:
REQUIRED- Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test), ETT/Vent management (RT available), Initiate/titrate drips (sedatives, paralytics, pressor, antiarrhythmics, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!
PREFERRED- Post code TTM, CRRT, massive transfusion (Belmont).
Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates.
Unit Information: 13 beds; can flex up to 17, typical census is 14-15 beds. Ratio: Days 1:2-3; NOCs 1:2-3 (third patient often waiting for transfer) CN takes at least one patient on each shift. All shifts have CNA support.
Unit Strengths: Staff is very thankful for travelers and wants to make them part of the team. Manager has been with the organization since 2008 and over the unit since 2020.

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Registered Nurse (RN) consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.
Responsibilities
+ Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
+ Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psycho-social changes in the patient’s condition.
+ Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard.
+ Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
+ Compares expected and actual outcomes of care and identifies deviation from the plan of care.
+ Other Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
+ Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
+ Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
+ The physical ability and perceptual acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
+ Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process.
+ Minimum of one year ICU Registered Nurse (RN) experience within the last three years preferred.
+ Current BLS, ACLS and PALS card (per facility or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) contract requirement).
+ Successful completion of the Amergis screening for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the RN practices
